Regensburg xmas 2014

Regensburg was the first real "Christmas Market" on the tour. A beautiful medieval city that was not bombed during the war it has most of it's old city intact.

The boat stopped on the canal "apparently a party place" where we disembarked. The stone bridge that you see crossing the river was built in the 12th century.

Our walking tour went through the old town. The 4+ story tall houses were medieval skyscrapers.  The rich people in Regensburg made it a status symbol to out do one another on having the tallest house in the city.

Next was a quick tour of the old gothic cathedral.

Finally off the "Christmas Market" at the castle.
