Melk Abbey, Austria Christmas 2014

Next stop on the tour was the Melk Abbey.  A Benedictine monastery that was also used as the location for the novel "Brotherhood of the Rose".

To get to the Melk Abbey we sailed through the beautiful Wachau Valley.

Overlooking the town of Melk we climbed a set of stone stairs to get to the abbey. 

Included with the tour is a tour of the reliquary and other church treasures.
