Day trip to Florence. Tours can give you all kinds of information that you never knew. For instance, the statue of David was originally sculpted to go on top of the Florence cathedral. Thus when Michaelangelo sculpted it he made the hands,feet and head largely disproportionate so that they could be seen better from the ground seventy feet below.
